What will it cost to finish my basement?
This is always the first question we get asked on the initial telephone conversation. As I'm sure you'll understand, it is impossible for us to give you a bid without looking at your basement.

I can, however, give you an idea. A 25-foot by 40-foot basement will cost more per square foot where as a larger basement will be less per square foot.

The following is a example of the National Average versus Shelter Construction

Sample 788 Square-foot basement finish description:

  • 20-foot by 30-foot family/entertainment area with wet bar

  • 5-foot by 8-foot full bath

  • 12-foot by 12-foot bedroom

  • Walls and ceilings are painted drywall throughout; exterior walls are insulated; painted trim throughout.

  • Five-six-panel prime doors.

  • 15 recessed can lights and three surface-mounted lights

  • Snap together laminate flooring system.

  • Bathroom includes standard white toilet, vanity with cultured marble top, vinyl flooring, two-piece fiberglass shower unit, a light/fan combination, vanity light fixture, and recessed medicine cabinet.

  • Bar area includes 10 linear feet of raised-panel oak cabinets with laminate countertops, stainless steel bar sink, single-lever bar faucet, under counter refrigerator, and vinyl floor tile.
